Found this image on Pinterest today and thought I'd share it because this quote is so very true.
"Women of God can never be like women of the world.
The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity."

A New Direction
I've decided that it is time to take my life in a new direction. For the past several years, I've worked on starting my own business Camellia Cottage, worked two part time jobs, dabbled at life as a web designer, ran an antique booth, spent last summer as a flower farmer, attended college part time, started blogging, and married my best friend. Most of this happened all at the same time.
To be perfectly honest, I can't do this anymore. I've just so many things going on that I can't possibly find the time to do any one thing right. Have you noticed that I haven't even wrote in this blog in several months?
The next year and a half I'm going to devote myself almost entirely to school. I'm halfway through the horticulture program. When I finish, I'll have a degree in Horticulture. Only twelve classes stand between me that important piece of paper.
Life as a full time student means scaling back on some of my other activities. Here's what that means for my websites:
Call Me Cordelia -the blog and website will no longer be updated until school is finished. That Etsy shop will also be going on vacation.
Camellia Cottage -the blog and website won't be updated either until school is finished. The Etsy shop will be put in vacation mode.
Demure Designs -this webdesign website won't be taking on any more custom design projects. The Etsy shop will still sell pre-made graphics; but without the time consuming custom work.
I'm going to keep my three websites open, just not updated. After school is through, I've got ambitious ideas for each site...but that's another story for another blog post.

Happy Spring! This is me at the local public garden last spring. |
